ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a QA Lead to establish and strengthen Teencare's Quality Assurance function. This person will define QA processes, lead the testing team, ensure product quality across the release lifecycle, and support the company's rapidly growing product roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the QA team, including task planning, workload allocation, and performance coaching.
• Define and continuously improve QA processes, testing standards, and quality metrics.
• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, regression test suites, and release quality criteria.
• Review business requirements to identify testing scope, risks, and quality objectives.
• Review and approve test scenarios, test cases, and testing documentation prepared by the QA team.
• Oversee Functional, Regression, Integration, API, UAT, and Smoke testing across Web and Mobile applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor defect trends, prioritize critical issues, and drive timely resolution with the engineering team.
• Analyze testing results, prepare quality reports, and provide Go/No-Go recommendations for product releases.
• Mentor and develop QA Engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and performance reviews.
• Promote the adoption of AI tools to improve testing efficiency while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated outputs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, product quality, and team productivity.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Testing, including 1–2 years in a QA Lead or Team Lead role.
• Professional certifications such as ISTQB Foundation/Advanced are an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience defining QA strategy, test planning, test execution, and release management.
• Strong experience in Web, Mobile, API, and Database testing.
• Experience with Postman, SQL, Jira/Base, and test management tools.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Gemini) to improve QA productivity and validate AI-generated outputs.

Preferred Background

• Experience in Software Product, SaaS, EdTech, or AI Products companies.
• Startup mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities.
